Syncing Ducalis priority ranking with the Asana project helps to focus team efforts even more. Thus you make priorities clear and transparent for anyone with access to the project.

To sync Ducalis priority ranking with Asana:

1) Go to the Ducalis board you want to sync.

2) Click the two-way sync sign next to the board name.
OR Click the cog sign top right corner.

3) Find the Two-Way Sync tumbler in the Issue Ranking Sync section.

4) Turn the tumbler ON.

NOTE!

Sync can't be turned on by a user, who is a Limited Access Member in Asana.

If this might be the case, go to Asana Admin, Members to change the user's access level in Asana.

As you turn the sync on, two custom field will appear in Asana:

- Issue position on Ducalis Top Priorities

more about the Alignment feature in Ducalis

You can check the names of the created custom fields in the sync settings in Ducalis.

NOTE!

Emoji, used in the custom fields name, is a Ducalis Board ID.

If you create several boards in Ducalis, please make sure they have different emojis. Otherwise, you won't be able to turn the sync on, as Asana doesn't allow creating custom fields with the same names.

How the Sync works:

1. Issue Ranking sync with Asana automatically happens once per Evaluation Cycle on the Planning Day.

Thus, if issue ranking changes in Ducalis due to Score Expiration or changes in criteria, priorities in Asana will remain the same as they were when the sprint was planned.

2. You can sync the priorities manually anytime. To do so:

1) Click the two-way sync sign next to the board name.
OR Click the cog sign top right corner.

3) Find the Issue Ranking Sync section.

4) Click Sync Now.

5) Issue positions in the custom field in Asana will be updated.

3. If you edit the board issue filter settings, please run the sync manually by clicking Sync Now.
