Two-way integration is a perfect solution for enhancing team alignment around priorities. It lets anybody see how important are the tasks in your ClickUp backlog and what is the best order of completing them.

NOTE! To sync Ducalis task ranking, you must have unlimited use of Custom
Fields in ClickUp, which is not available in the Forever Free plan.

To turn the sync on, you need to create 2 custom fields in ClickUp where Ducalis will write its ranking.

You need to have a text field called 'Priority 🚀 Ducalis' and a text field called 'Alignment 🚀 Ducalis.' The emoji in your fields' names depends on your Ducalis board emoji. You can change it before you create the fields if you want another one.

There are two ways to add the fields:

  • add them to the whole workspace making them available in every task

  • add them to one or a few spaces only.

Here we'll focus on how to create fields for the whole workspace. If you are going to prioritize different spaces in different Ducalis boards, and you need separate rankings for separate projects, please read this article.

To add fields to the whole workspace:

1. Go to Everything.

2. Click the Plus icon upper right corner.

3. Click Text to create a text field.

4. Copy the field name from your board settings in Ducalis.

5. Paste the name in the ClickUp field creation popup.

6. Click the Pin icon.

7. Click Add column.

8. Click Add to every task.

9. Add the second field the same way.

10. Click Refresh in Ducalis and then turn the sync on.

Priority ranking will be visible in the Everything view and you can sort tasks by the priority field.

It will also be visible inside any and every task in the whole ClickUp workspace.

The Alignment link leads to the teammates' estimation scatter analysis.

The sync happens automatically every planning day, but you can run it manually anytime by clicking Sync Scores Now in the settings.

How to add the fields to different views:

First, choose the needed space or list where you want to see the fields.

List View

1. Click the Plus icon in the upper right corner.

2. In the Hidden column, scroll down or search for the Priority Ducalis field.

3. Click the field name.

4. Click the Sort icon in the field name to sort the tasks by priority.

Board View

1. Click Show in the upper right corner.

2. Click Custom Fields.

3. Click on the Priority Ducalis custom field. The priority rank will appear on each task card.

Calendar View

1. Click Settings in the upper right corner.

2. Click Custom fields.

3. Click on the Priority Ducalis custom field. The priority rank will appear on each task card.

Table View

1. Click Columns.

2. Scroll down and turn on the Priority Ducalis field.

3. Click the Sort icon in the field name to sort the tasks by priority.
