Issue types distinguish different types of work in unique ways, and help you identify and report on your team’s work. They can help your team build more structure into your working process.
Types can be customized down to the Board level.
Creating issue types
Admins can add or edit types in new and existing boards.
To create a new issue type:
Create dropdown options when selecting a type.
Type the value.
Click the ellipses
... next to the issue type you’d like to edit. Choose from the following options for editing types:
Rename the type.
If you'd like, choose a color that corresponds with each option's meaning, like red for Bug.
Add another issue type to your workflow.
You also can remove an issue type.
If you're removing an issue type, we'll ask you to choose another existing type to inherit your issues with this deleted type.
