In this article, you learn how to get started with Ducalis by purchasing email credits. Learn more about email credits and what they mean for your account.
What are Email Credits?
Email credits are the number of emails that can be used when sending Release Notes and Voting boards notifications.
One email credit equals to one sent email. For example, sending an email to 100 customers will cost a 100 email credits.
Email Credits is a Pay As You Go payment option. Instead of paying a monthly fee, you can purchase email credits as you need them. Credits apply to the organization, not to every voting board.
What is Included in Email Credits?
Email Credits include the Voting board notifications and Release Notes/Auto-digests.
Voting boards notifications comprises of:
- idea progress status changing,
- new comments,
- ideas merged,
- update/edit of an idea (for example, description),
- deleting the idea.
Release Notes notifications comprises of:
- Auto digest,
- Release notes that you’ve scheduled manually.
Number of Email Credits Included in your Plan
Email credits are included in all free, and paid plans.
Users on all plans receive 500 Email Credits every 30 days from when an organization is created. The remaining free monthly credits do not add up to the new free 500 credits. For more credits you need to buy a package for email credits.
Ducalis offers the following email credit packages: 1 000, 5 000, 20 000, 50 000, 100 000, 500 000.
If you go over the Audience limit, you will not be able to send your Release Notes/Auto-digests.
How do Email Credits Work?
To send Voting Board notifications and Release Notes, you must have a sufficient number of email credits available.
The number of credits you need for each Release Notes depend on the size of your Audience list. Audience will include your voting subscribers and customers that have chosen to receive updates.
Credits will be automatically deducted after sending your Release Note campaign or each Voting board notification. The number deducted will match the number of recipients in the campaign that you sent. If you don’t have sufficient email credits to send a campaign, you can purchase email credits at any time.
The number of paid credits left will always be transferred to a renewal email credits package.
For example, you purchase 5,000 email credits, and 1,000 of them are left. Then the 5,000 email credits are renewed, and you will have a total of 6,000 email credits available in your account.
How you are Billed for Email Credits
If you require additional email credits at any given time, you can purchase them. Email credits are available for purchase with all plans.
Once you have purchased a specific number of credits, each time that limit expires, a package will be automatically renewed. For example, for 5000 credits, you will be charged $25 every time you run out of credits.
Paying for credits does not have one specific date for the next debit.
You pay for use and when the limit is reached.
