The Voting Board Description is a short message displayed at the left of your public feedback portal. It serves as a welcome note and a guide for your users, letting them know what kind of feedback you’re looking for and how they can contribute effectively.
Your voting board visitors will see this description on the left of the page. It’s their first impression of how feedback works in your product.

A clear and thoughtful description helps you:
- Set expectations with your users.
- Encourage relevant and actionable feedback.
- Communicate your team’s approach to reviewing and implementing suggestions.
How to Edit Description
Each Voting board has default board description.
To re-write or edit it:
- Open Voting board.

- Click the “Description” icon.

- Write or update your message. Everything will be saved automatically and changes will be reflected in the public part of the voting board.

What to Include in Your Description
Here are some ideas for what you might want to include:
- A short greeting: “We’d love to hear from you!” or “Help us improve!”
- The type of feedback you’re looking for: feature ideas, UX pain points, bug reports, etc.
- Your process: let users know what happens after they submit something. Will your team review it weekly? Will statuses be updated?
- Encouragement: motivate users to vote or comment on other suggestions.
- Statuses: describe what each column/status means.
Example Description
“Welcome! This is where you can share your feature requests, ideas, and feedback. We regularly review all submissions, and you’ll see status updates as we make progress. Don’t forget to vote on ideas you support!”
