Step 4. Set Up Status Auto-Updates

Automatically update Idea statuses when linked Issue statuses change. Keeps public Ideas and internal Issues synchronized without manual updates.

Access settings

1. Navigate to the Voting Board settings.

   

2. Select Automation from the left menu.

3. Click Status Auto-Update Rules.

   

Create status update rules

1. Click +New Rule.

   

2. Set Trigger Condition to Issue Status.

   Custom Event triggers are system defaults. Select from existing events only. Need more automation conditions? Contact us via chat.

   

3. Select the platform where your Issues are tracked (Ducalis or your task tracker).

   

4. In When status is, choose the Issue status from your task tracker.

   

5. In then update Voting Idea to, choose the corresponding Idea status.

   

   Example: When a Jira Cloud Issue changes to In Progress, the linked Idea automatically updates to In Progress.

   

6. Click Save Rule.

   

7. Repeat steps 1-6 to create rules for all your statuses.
