Step 2. Set Up Scrum Poker

Scrum Poker enables teams to evaluate backlogs with minimal bias by hiding stakeholder scores until the Reveal milestone.

Scores are revealed at the Reveal milestone to discuss evaluation results.

Find an overview of Scrum Poker here.

Enable Scrum Poker

To configure Scrum Poker, enable the feature first. When enabled, Board Users can't see others' scores until Reveal (the moment when scores are revealed for discussion). During this period, only Facilitators can see everyone's scores.

Read more about hiding scores during evaluation.

Configure score updates after Reveal

After the Reveal milestone, you can allow or restrict Estimators from updating their scores:

  • Allow updates: Estimators can revise their scores after seeing others' evaluations.
  • Restrict updates: No Estimator can edit scores once Reveal occurs.

Set who can edit Final Scores

After scores are revealed and discussed, you can update Final Scores directly instead of re-evaluating Issues. Choose who can change Final Scores:

  • Everyone: All Board Users can edit Final Scores.
  • Facilitators only: Only Facilitators can edit Final Scores.

If you want re-evaluation instead of direct Final Score updates, restrict everyone from editing Final Scores.

You can update Final Scores or re-evaluate on the Issue card.
