Issue types to import
Which issues you import depends on your project's prioritization needs.
Issue types
Stories and Tasks are the best candidates for prioritization. These represent work that requires evaluation and ranking.
Bugs are typically treated as must-fix items rather than prioritized work. However, some teams do prioritize bugs—include them if that fits your workflow.
Epics aren't typically prioritized directly. Use them to organize issues into different boards through filters.
Issue statuses
To Do issues are the primary candidates for prioritization—they represent upcoming work that needs ranking.
In Progress issues can also be useful to evaluate. Priorities may shift during implementation, or work may take longer than expected. You might decide to pause current work in favor of higher-priority items.
Exclude these statuses:
- Done - Already completed
- In Review - Nearing completion
- Test - Already implemented
These statuses no longer need prioritization.
